Swimming Week was all about not feeling bad about making mistakes in the pool, it was about learning new things.

— Saharah C. (6B)

Water Safety Week has once again been a highlight of the start of the year for our girls. The confidence, skills and enjoyment on display at the pool were wonderful to see. This important program could not have run so smoothly without the generous support of many of our parents. To our volunteers, whether you supported on one day or all five, we thank you greatly for your time and energy.

"Raising my hand for help." - Sofia F. (Year 2)

"How to slide into the water safely." - Victoria M. (Year 2)

"It is not about how good our swimming is, it is about the skills we need to survive." - Cartia M. (6B)

"How to keep safe in the pool." - Aria R. (6B)

"How to do the survival stroke." - Balen T. (Year 2)

"How to stay safe in a river if you are in a boat." - Shenaya W. (Year 2)

— What did you learn during Water Safety Week?

"Doing the starfish." - Talia C. (Year 2)

"Diving down to get the sinkies." - Jenny G. (Year 2)

"Having a go at getting the sinkies in the deep end of the pool and also getting to the showers first." - Irene L. (6B)

"Pretending to drown and having one of my friends rescue me." - Celina N. (6B)

"Learning new things, jumping into the deep end of the pool, and spending quality time with my friends outside the classroom." - Jade P. (6B)
