Curriculum

The learning focus in Years 10-12 is on inspiring and encouraging our girls with challenging educational experiences across a wide range of subjects.

Senior Learning with Purpose

In Years 10–12, students design a pathway that reflects their strengths, interests, and aspirations. Learning is rigorous, relevant, and future-focused, with opportunities to pursue academic depth, creative expression, innovation, and vocational pathways.

Our teachers challenge and support each student to think critically, act with integrity, and strive for personal excellence. Independence is nurtured, and students are empowered to take ownership of their learning as they prepare confidently for life beyond school.

Laptop Program

In Years 10 to 12, students may choose to use a College-issued device or participate in our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, allowing flexibility while maintaining secure access to College systems.

Curriculum Overview

  • Our Senior School curriculum is centred on the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) — a qualification that opens pathways to university, TAFE, apprenticeships, and employment.

The SACE develops essential capabilities in Literacy, Numeracy, Information & Communication Technology, Critical & Creative Thinking, Personal & Social capabilities, Ethical Understanding and Intercultural Understanding. Students can also undertake Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, gaining practical, industry-relevant skills while earning SACE credits.

Approved community-based language study may also contribute to senior pathways, supporting students to strengthen proficiency in their native language.

  • Year 10 is a purposeful transition into senior study. All students complete Stage 1 Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF), earning 10 SACE credits while clarifying their strengths, interests, and aspirations. Alongside core subjects, students select from a diverse range of semester-based electives across The Arts, Humanities, Languages, STEM, and Technologies. Increased choice fosters independence, confidence, and informed decision-making as students prepare for Stage 1 and Stage 2 in Year 11 and 12.

  • In Years 11 and 12, students shape a personalised SACE pathway aligned to their goals. A broad subject offering allows depth, specialisation, and academic challenge across all learning areas. Students are guided to meet SACE requirements while positioning themselves strongly for university entry, TAFE study, apprenticeships, or direct employment. The senior years cultivate independence, purpose, and readiness for life beyond school.
