Stage 2 IPP

The Stage 2 IPP class is currently undertaking an assessment focused on analysing the impact of the College’s current mixed-device environment, where both school-issued devices and BYOD options are available to students in Year 10 and above.

To support the students’ research, College ICT Manager Mr Weller visited the class on Tuesday 5 May and participated in an hour-long interview session. During the session, he responded to questions students had developed through research and surveys and provided valuable professional insights into device management, digital learning environments, and the practical considerations involved in supporting technology across the College.

College Accountant Ms Dubiel also contributed to the assessment by clarifying financial terminology, enabling students to work more confidently with authentic resources and real-world information. The class has greatly appreciated the support and expertise shared by staff across the College community.

Year 9 Photography

Meanwhile, the Year 9 Photography class enjoyed an excursion to the Adelaide CBD on Wednesday 6 May. Despite light drizzles throughout the day, the overcast conditions actually created ideal lighting for photography, allowing students to capture detailed and atmospheric images around the city. Students explored several well-known street art locations and reflected on how quickly urban landscapes can change. Many noticed that while new buildings and developments continue to shape our beautiful city, some older artworks and familiar spaces disappear over time. This experience encouraged students to appreciate creative works and environments while they still exist.

The excursion was not only creatively rewarding but also provided students with an excellent opportunity to strengthen friendships and enjoy a memorable day of learning together outside the classroom.
