Duty of Care

UNIFORM EXPECTATIONS

Thank you to all families for presenting students so well. A reminder that the College maintains a firm but fair uniform policy, supporting consistency and pride in presentation.

At this time of year, we wish to remind all families of our joint responsibility for the supervision and safety of every student. In schools, this is referred to as ‘duty of care’, and it is both a legal and pastoral obligation.

  • Students are supervised within the College grounds from 8:20am each morning, including during recess and lunch breaks.
  • During the school day, no student may leave College grounds without prior permission from a parent.
  • For safety reasons,  students may only use playground equipment when supervised by a teacher.
  • At the end of the day, students are expected to leave promptly (no later than 3:40pm) and travel directly home, unless they are participating in an official College activity.
  • Students involved in co-curricular activities such as sport, drama, or debating will be supervised during those sessions; please ensure your daughter is collected promptly at the conclusion of these activities.
  • If your daughter is absent, please contact the College to notify us. If we have not received notice, a staff member will contact you to confirm her whereabouts.

These measures reflect our shared duty to provide a safe, structured environment for every student, and we thank you in advance for your support and cooperation.
