Term 1 included an exciting and eventful few weeks in the Technology learning area, with students engaging in a wide range of innovative and hands-on experiences.

On Wednesday 25 March, the Year 9 Gaming and Programming class visited the University of Adelaide for a full-day immersive experience. Students explored coding in JavaScript, listened to industry professionals discuss how gaming is shaping the future, and engaged with interactive Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) projects. It was an inspiring opportunity that broadened their understanding of pathways in technology and innovation.
On Friday 27 March, our secondary students took part in National AI Literacy Day, a nationwide initiative focused on exploring the key questions: “What is AI?” and “How do we prepare learners for an AI-enabled world?” . To celebrate, students participated in interactive Blooket and Kahoot games, building their understanding of artificial intelligence in a fun and engaging way.
Our Year 10 Photography students have been experimenting with the zoom burst technique in the school chapel. This creative method involves zooming the camera lens during a long exposure, producing dynamic images with striking motion blur radiating from the centre. Students then edited their work, achieving some truly fantastic and visually impactful results.
