2025 Stage 2 Arts - 81.8% in the A Grade band

2026 has seen the Multi-Arts Faculty celebrating the many successes of our 2025 classes, with 81.8% of students receiving grades in the A band. We recognise Teresa Kennedy for her four merits, including both Music Solo Performance and Visual Art, and her Governor of South Australia Commendation for Excellence Award. We also congratulate 2025 Stage 2 Visual Art students; Annabel Baker, Annemarie Pileggi and Willow Raymond, whose work features in the upcoming SACE Art Show. Please click here, if you would like to attend.

The Year 12 Art and Design class will be visiting the SACE Art Show. This will be a valuable opportunity for students to view work in a professional exhibition setting and to engage with the work of peers from across the state.

With Adelaide Festival and Fringe about to commence, both Senior Drama and Music students will get the opportunity to attend a variety of national and international productions in the coming weeks. These will provide students with first-hand insight into the application of dramatic and musical techniques within professional productions in the hope that they can reflect on and replicate these ideas within their own practical work. The Year 12 Drama Class have begun rehearsals for the first of two major performance pieces for the year. This first is a devised performance based on the work of gothic filmmaker Tim Burton, which will be filmed in Week 10 this term.

As extra-curricular activities get underway for the year, the Vocal Ensemble are already deep in preparation for their first-ever entry at the Australia-wide competition, The Generations in Jazz. Held each year on the first weekend of May, Generations in Jazz provides musicians with an opportunity to perform with and for many of Australia’s best-known jazz musicians.

Many new music ensembles have been formed, including three different Rock Bands beginning to work together. Key Music Teacher, Mrs Day, is also calling for interested Clarinet and Flute players, both new and continuing, to take up lessons and/or form an ensemble halfway through Term 1. Any other enquiries about instrumental lessons can be emailed to her directly.
