South Australian Age Swimming Championships

The SA Age Swimming Championships took place over the March long weekend (6-9 March), where Rosie W. (9W) achieved final and top ten finishes in five of the six events she competed in. Of special note was her performance in the following:

14 years girls 50m Fly : PB 30.66 sec (Heat), NAQT 30.33 (Final), 4th NAQT
14 years girls 100m Freestyle: PB 1:01.74 sec (Final), 7th NAQT
14 years girls 50m Freestyle: PB 28.57 sec (Final), 6th just below the NAQT 28.27
14 years girls 100m Fly: PB 1:09.35 sec (Final), just below the NAQT of 1:09.50

This is a great result, and Rosie faced tough competition in all events. Her achievement of the National Qualifying times in 50 Fly and 100 Free will see her compete against Australia’s best swimmers at the National Age Championships to be held on the Gold Coast during the April school holidays. We wish Rosie all the very best for the upcoming Championships.
