Stage 2 Information Processing + Publishing

To support the students’ research, the College's Advancement and Development Coordinator, Ms Nicolas, visited the Stage 2 IPP class and participated in an interview session. During the session, she shared valuable insights into her role as a graphic designer, including the creative and technical skills required in the industry, workplace expectations, and strategies for managing workload and balancing multiple projects effectively. Students appreciated the opportunity to gain authentic industry perspectives and benefited greatly from the practical advice and experiences she shared.

Year 7 Technology

Year 7 Technology students explored the design process through the creation of miniature furniture sets for 1:12 scale figures using Tinkercad. Students developed their understanding of scale, measurement, and 3D modelling by designing detailed furniture pieces that were both functional and visually appealing. Throughout the project, they demonstrated creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail as they refined their designs to ensure accurate proportions.

Year 10 Photography

Year 10 Photography students explored low-light photography and long-exposure techniques to create a series of striking and creative images. Through practical experimentation, students developed their understanding of camera settings, including shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, while learning how to effectively capture movement and light in challenging conditions. They demonstrated strong technical skills and creativity as they used light painting, motion blur, and night photography techniques to produce visually engaging compositions.
