Auskick

On Tuesday 25 March, the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes participated in Come and Try Auskick sessions facilitated by the North Adelaide SANFL. These sessions introduced the students to the sport of Aussie Rules Football.  The Year 2 students also had the opportunity to have a photo with the 2026 AFL Men's and Women's Premiership cups.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 students are invited to join the Auskick program which commences on Mondays in Term 2 on the school oval from 3:30-4:15.

SAPSASA and SACPSSA Swimming

In Term 1, the Junior School swimmers took part in two swimming carnivals, the North Adelaide SAPSASA Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 3 March, and the SACPSSA Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 24 March.

The SAPSASA Carnival involved schools from across the North Adelaide region trialling for selection in the North Adelaide team. The competition was tough, and all swimmers displayed persistence.

The SACPSSA Carnival involved swimmers from various Catholic Schools in SA. This year, we competed in Section 2. Our swimming team all contributed to a fantastic result of 4th overall.  Results included:

Grace P. (Yr 5) - Runner-up Year 5 Age Champion, 1st Butterfly A, 1st Backstroke A, 2nd Freestyle A, 3rd Breaststroke A
Anika P. (Yr 3) - 1st Freestyle A, 2nd Breaststroke A
Isabel B. (6G) - 2nd Freestyle A
Emily P. (Yr 3) - 2nd Breaststroke C, 3rd Freestyle B
Amelia G. (Yr 3) - 3rd Breaststroke B
Harreet K. (6G) - 3rd Freestyle B
Year 3 Relay Team (Anika P, Amelia G, Emily P, Annabelle P) - 2nd
Year 4 Relay Team (Chloe K, Eliza B, Charlotte S, Marley A) - 3rd
Year 5 Relay Team (Grace P, Charlotte W, Airlie H, Johanna R) - 3rd

Congratulations to all the swimmers for their willingness to step up and replace swimmers who were absent and their tremendous school spirit.

Thank you to all the parents who assisted the swimmers. A special mention to Marni Curtis who assisted as a marshal at both events.

State Softball Championships

Between Wednesday 25 and Friday 27 March, four Junior School students competed in the State Softball Championships at West Beach. Airlie H. was selected to represent North Adelaide and played as a member of a combined East Adelaide/North Adelaide team. Senna S. (Year 5), Scarlett D. (6G), and Cartia M. (6B) were reserves for the North Adelaide team but still had the opportunity to participate in the carnival, playing in the Hills/Barker team.

This carnival provided the students with a valuable opportunity to develop their skills and understanding of the game of softball, play as part of a team and make new friends. Congratulations to all students.
