Creating Safer Streets Together
To help improve safety, reduce congestion, and ensure smoother transitions for everyone, St Dominic’s Priory College has developed the “School Safe, Home Safe” safety guide to help families navigate allocated Drop-off and Pick-up Zones safely and confidently.
When everyone uses a Drop-off and Pick-up Zone as intended, it helps maintain a calm and organised environment for all students.
St Dominic’s Priory College is afforded frontage along three streets in North Adelaide:
- MOLESWORTH STREET
- BARNARD STREET
- HILL STREET
Whilst the streets surrounding our campus are generously proportioned, they are residential in nature, and parking is limited. As public thoroughfares, these streets are also subject to State and Council road rules, and the applicable traffic infringement notices that may be imposed for non-compliance.
TO FACILITATE AN ORDERLY AND EVEN FLOW OF TRAFFIC AROUND OUR CAMPUS DURING BUSY TIMES, WE ASK FAMILIES TO OBSERVE THE MANDATORY DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP ZONE THAT CORRELATES TO THEIR (ELDEST) DAUGHTER’S YEAR LEVEL.

Please click on the relevant Zone’s button below for instructions specific to your allocated Zone.
Out of School Hours Care
Junior School families with daughters enrolled in our onsite Out of School Hours Care are advised to park their car and continue using the Barnard Street entrances (Zone 1).

Public Transportation
The two bus stops (Stop 5A) immediately accessible to the College are located along Hill Street (Zone 3) and are serviced by two Adelaide Metro School Bus services:
- 477 Elizabeth Interchange to St Dominic’s Priory College
- 985 St Dominic’s Priory College to the Adelaide CBD
For details on other (general public) bus routes servicing the North Adelaide area, including to/from the Stop 5A Hill Street, please visit the Adelaide Metro Journey Planner.
Dismissal Time
To help streamline the end of our school day, ALL STUDENTS ARE DISMISSED AT 3:20pm.
- Students with younger siblings are asked to meet their younger sister on campus and walk together to/from the Zone specific to their own Year Level.
- Cocurricula activities taking place before/after school may have their own designated entrance/collection point, relative to the time of day the activity is taking place. These particulars are communicated via Consent2Go, and directly to students while at school. Families are asked to familiarise themselves with the specific drop-off or pick-up requirements – including time of dismissal – of an activity before their daughter commits to attend.

Family members arriving to pick up their daughters are reminded to not overstay in the designated Kiss & Drop zones. In accordance with the Road Traffic Act 1961 the maximum standing period in a no parking bay (i.e. Kiss & Drop) is TWO MINUTES. If you are waiting beyond two minutes for your daughter/s please vacate the Zone by driving around the block in the direction of traffic; keeping the Kiss & Drop available for drivers whose daughter/s are waiting at the curb.
Also in accordance with Australian Road Rules, under the Road Traffic Act 1961 –
