Rosanne Hawke Visit

Roseanne Hawke is a well-known Australian author for children and young adults. She has written over 35 books. Her books explore cultural and social issues, history, mystery, family and faith. She often writes of displacement, belonging and reconciliation and tells stories of children unheard. Roseanne will talk with Year 5 and 6 Classes about her writing process, particularly how she researches from real life to create her characters and develop their worlds. This will link with the Year 6 Migration topic in English/HASS and the Year 5 preparation of research for ‘Night of the Notables’.
